1884 & 1912

AIEE & IRE Founded

The American Institute of Electrical Engineers (1884) and the Institute of Radio Engineers (1912) establish the foundations of electrical and communication standards.

1963

Formation of IEEE

AIEE and IRE merge to form the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers—now the world's largest technical professional organization.

1999

IEEE Jordan Section

Officially established on Nov 12, 1999 (Geo Code R80079), growing to achieve one of the highest student-to-member ratios globally.

2009 – Today

IEEE ASU Branch

Founded in 2009 at Applied Science Private University, uniting 300+ members across 5 chapters (CIS, CS, RAS, ComSoc, and WIE).

  • Refinement: Master specific development loops, command terminal architectures, and hardware logic blocks.
Active Engagement & Peer Mentorship
Phase 03 | 6–9 Months
  • Collaboration: Run cross-society deployment sprints bridging automated systems with application stacks.
  • Peer Mentorship: Begin guiding incoming members, solidifying foundational knowledge through knowledge-sharing.
